I’ve had this same exact problem since buying GT5 on launch. I was so frustrated trying to DMZ and port forward with my router but nothing worked. I tried the two DNS you listed and IT WORKED like a charm. Thanks so much, you really made my day!!!

Awww! Maaaan! I thought this was going to work for me! So many happy people driving online and me driving around my living room! I still can’t connect! Any other suggestion? I forwarded a bunch of ports, changed the DNS, reset my modem/router, never found the cache thingy though,,, And still, no online gaming.
i am soooo frustrated. I don’t know who to call.
    thanks!

I had been having this problem for the past week. I was about ready to try and call Sony or someone to help me figure it out. I tried it and it worked. Now I’m wondering how my settings changed to begin with? Oh, well. Thanks!

    DUDE!!!
after spending 4 days (literally) trying to update to the latest game patches (totalling around 5-6GB) I finally managed last night only to find my ps3 couldnt connect to the GT% server, even tho I was signed in etc, anyway after finding this page & trying the info, I cant believe the difference
the whole game is 90% faster than before, no long 5 min loading screens
its amazing, I’ve also done this on my xbox360 & its truly amazing, all my pals are now doing it also

    THANK YOU
