There’s something about those gulf colours and orange arrows that gets me going big time…
I saw this car at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. The entire car is barely taller than your knees!!
it’s funny you mention that…and now i just look at all the people in the photographs and their knees—comparing them to the height of the car….you’re so right! it looks right to their knees…or even less..unbelievable.
Ah, this is the good stuff. There’s a funny warm feeling connected to those Gulf colors that just screams “I drive fast and you love it”. There’s a wonderful book about colors and shapes in racing, the proper theory about “go fast design”. You can easily find it I think, worth taking a look.
ah yes ricardo! i have been wanting that book—seems really cool..it’s all about the ‘livery’ of race cars right?
I need the name of this book!!
It’s called Go Faster: The Graphic Design of Racing Cars. It’s a pretty decent book, although I still think it lacks a bit of information on this topic. You can find a review here: http://www.creativereview.co.uk/cr-blog/2010/march/go-faster
