This is the car engine noise I most often made with my mouth as a kid. I might still be doing it in the shower once in a while. Don’t tell anyone.
The BEST , and most exciting Rally car ever . Bar none ! As well as the ONLY model rally car to continue winning WRC events in privateers hands well after the factory ( FIAT/Lancia remember ) had abandoned it ( for the Abarth 131 )
As a road car ( I’ve driven two ) it was an absolute hoot and a half as well .Pure insanity on wheels . Had they been available here I might not of gone down the Prancing Horse alley when in my Exotic ownership phase . Tried like heck to import one but …..
The World today needs another ‘ real’ Stratos ( not the rebadged 458 thats out there ) if only for the sheer entertainment of the beast . Read up on Michelle Mouton’s comments about driving the monster as well as Walter Rohrl and Sandro Munari’s . What an era . The tail end of Group 4 leading into Group B . Todays WRC pales in comparison .
