After Top Gear, one of my favourite automotive shows is Wheeler Dealers. Broadcasted out of the UK (as expected), it starts Mike Brewer and his trusty mechanic Ed. They buy cars cheap, do some work on em, fix em up, and try to sell em for a proflit. They pick up some pretty great stuff. Makes me jealous of the UK used market!
In this episode, they get the rare-in-the-USA BMW E30 Touring for 900 quid!
(PARTS 1 through 5).
Hosted by Alain De Cadanet, a very cool look into Pre-WW2 Grand Prix race cars made by Auto Union. Amazing footage in this video….
PART 1
PART 2
Very cool 10 minute video outlining the history of Volvo motorcars. I know that voice, just can’t remember the guy’s name—-he does alot of the old F1 narrative videos…..Some interesting classic footage in this well made company video.
Still one of the BEST 5 minutes car clips EVER!
enjoy!
This is a 2 part video, and the 1st part of it is especially entertaining when they do some drag races of older Euro sedans! right on!
I used to love these old Saabs….and still do. Bring this kind of glory back, Koeniggsegg!
PART 1
PART 2
This video was posted on Vimeo, and I dunno much about the video….aside from the fact that it’s great! Love it. It might be a commercial for the Quattroporte—judging by the outro….
Vodpod videos no longer available.Word is that casting for the upcoming Steve McQueen film Steve McQueen: Portait Of An American Rebel has commenced and that the role of Mr. McQueen is being offered to Brad Pitt.
I’m a huge Steve McQueen fan..and am really excited about a film portraying the adventures and life of Mr. McQueen—and while i think Brad Pitt is a pretty decent pick for this role, i just hope he gets into the role enough to really transmit the soul of McQueen.
Steve McQueen fully absorbed himself in films while he made it; during the film Le Mans, he fully integrated himself with the race, the lifestyle, and the actual driving. Such is that I hope Pitt is able to understand the character of McQueen and really display McQueen’s character rather than his own…When i told my wife about this—she thinks Jude Law would be a better choice, mainly because he looks more like McQueen. I think my wife just digs Jude Law! ha.
Either way, i’m looking damn forward to it, and it will surely be the most anticipated film of 2010.

Not too many details out about this, however it seems that an Ayrton Senna documentary has been given the go ahead and is currently casting and organizing. I wonder if F1 and Bernie-the-keep-everything-F1-related-inside-of-F1 will even allow this film to happen…..they should, as if anyone deserves a film about himself, it is most certainly Ayrton Senna. More details HERE
Meanwhile, to keep you busy til this film comes out, here is a 6-part documentary about Senna. Well worth watching:

here’s another GREAT vintage video made by George Lucas (yes, the “Star Wars” guy!) when he was younger and (probably) cooler. I never really cared for “Star Wars”….but this video was done when Lucas was a student, and it stars the legendary Peter Brock. Fantastic!
Forward the video to about 1:30 for the start of the video.
