to follow up the video of the day, a classic pic of an Alpine A310, giving you an idea of its overenthusiastic wheel arches and over the top body kit—-but i still love it so! this one is from 1978, if my notes are correct.

THIS is why I love Audi—–because (A) they are insane, and (B) their attention to detail. This is a 503hp (!!!!) concept version of their A1 named Clubsport quattro. The engine? Probably the best production engine on the market right now, the 2.5L 5 Cylinder turbo from the TT-RS. Production? NOT likely! That being said, i’m pretty sure we are going to see a rock solid S1 (or maybe with a different name, as crossover with the original ‘S1″ may not work out). RS1? I am not so sure. But the final result is me feeling VERY dissappointed that we will never get the A1 in this country. 503hp…..holy wow.
Sketches of what kind of gearknob to put in! the details….the details…

I have literally 1000s and 1000s of photos of my favourite car ever, the Alpine A110. I am slowly dispersing these through IEDEI so others can enjoy them. Many of these are very rare, and I have collected them over the past 5 years or so. I don’t have a lot of information on some of them—but when I have info I will pass that along as well. The more vintage and grainy—-the BETTER.

Like the Porsche Panamera, this is another car whose styling really didn’t sit well with me when i first saw it—–but a car which REALLY grew on me over the past few years. I love the weird back end, and and I think they have plenty of road presence and attitude. A stellar $90k car now available 2nd hand in the $40-50k range. 500hp and a hell of a performer…a shark.

I had no work today, but when i woke up i looked out the window and saw SNOW! everytime this happens, the voice of an 85 year-old rural farmer comes into my head and says “FIRE UP THE QUATTRO!”—–so i did. driving in circles around my neighbourhood….it was lovely. Grabbed some breakfast….and took the time to take a photo representing my morning.
the glorious Maserati A6GCS. Thanks to the photographer; Brad from Automobiliac, for this great foto.
